All districts must hold the International Speech Contest, and can select additional contests each year which terminate at the District Level. Decisions about these are made by your District Council, which includes club Presidents, and Vice Presidents Education.

All international contests shall be held in-person at the Area, Division, District, and International levels (semifinals and World Championship of Public Speaking). This is per Toastmasters International, see email – “Important 2024-2025 Speech Contest rule updates” on July 16, 2024.

2nd Speech Contest (English)

  • Category: Table Topics.
  • Format: all in-person from Area, Division to District.
  • Decided by your District Council on September 14, 2024.

No 3rd Speech Contest: The District Council has decided not to hold a Third Speech Contest this year.

Base Camp Outage

Please be advised that Base Camp will be unavailable from October 9 to 25 as we prepare for an upgraded version. To facilitate a smooth transition, I encourage you to take the following actions:

  • Download Project PDFs: Prior to October 9, use the “Print My Project” link on the “Your Evaluation” page to download full PDFs of any projects you wish to complete during the outage.
  • Submit Completed Pathways Education: Have your VPEs approve any pending level completions and ensure that all completed Pathways education is submitted to Toastmasters International for credit before October 9 to maintain your records.
  • Take Screenshots: Capture screenshots of your Base Camp accomplishments for future reference.
  • Postpone Purchases: I recommend postponing the purchase of new paths or Speechcraft until the new Base Camp is launched.
