In order for Toastmaster Clubs to be considered ACTIVE, they need to have eight or more members registered in the club by Sept, 30 and at least three of those members need to be previous members. Renewing the minimum of eight members will ensure that your club continues to thrive and enjoy the following benefits of an active club:
- Full Participation in Speech Contests: Keeping your club active means your members can participate in upcoming speech contests and continue to grow.
- Recognition and Awards: Your club will remain eligible for Distinguished Club Program (DCP) awards, boosting its reputation.
- Access to Resources: Active clubs receive ongoing support, resources, and training from Toastmasters International.
- Strong, Supportive Community: You’ll help maintain a positive environment where members can continue improving their leadership and communication skills.
If your club does not reach at least eight members by September 30, it will be marked as inactive by Toastmasters International, which comes with some serious consequences:
- No participation in speech contests, limiting opportunities for growth.
- Loss of recognition and eligibility for DCP awards.
- Loss of access to Pathways
- Difficulty attracting new members and regaining momentum.
- Potential loss of your club’s charter if inactivity persists.
With eight members renewed, your club can avoid these challenges and stay on track for success. Every single renewal counts!
YOU ARE NOT IN THIS ALONE! If you have any questions or need assistance with the renewal process, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s make sure your club remains active and continues to support its members! Contact your Area Director, Division Director or the TRIO. People are here to help if you need it, but they are not mind readers and will not know you need help if you do not reach out.
