
Introduction
Toastmaster Districts run incentive programs because they want to reward individuals and clubs for achieving goals, delivering a high-quality club experience, and supporting the club’s mission. Incentives can help clubs focus on member recruitment, retention, and create a thriving environment for members. District 33 is no different. We have various incentives to drive growth and excellence in our clubs. Of course, in order to win these incentives takes planning and drive to accomplish certain tasks.
By now, all clubs created their Club Success Plans. If your club did not accomplish this task, it is likely you will not qualify for any incentives because you are not planning to do any work toward getting them. If, however, your club did complete its Success Plan AND you are following it, then you are well on your way to gaining a lot of these incentives.
Incentives for District 33 are time based. They are used to push clubs toward success in reaching their goals to become a Distinguished or better club. Review and adjust your Club Success Plan according to the incentives and come away a big winner.

December Incentives
Clubs are plagued with membership problems. People leave for various reasons (new job, move out of town, etc.). These all require that clubs replenish their ranks. Since membership strength is a DCP requirement, clubs should be running an active program to find new members all the time.
If each club finds just one new member per month, that club would never have a membership problem. To help boost the club’s thoughts about membership and DCP status, District 33 has several different membership incentives. In December those incentives include:
Early Bird Membership Retention – Round 2
70% Membership Retention by December 31, 2024
Renew 70% of your club’s membership base by
December 31, 2024, and your club will earn:
$10 in TI GC or D33 Bucks
DCP Mid-Year Excellence Award
Clubs that complete five (5) DCP goals, one of
which must be Goal #7 (to add 4 new members),
and do so by December 31, 2024, will earn:
$50 in TI GC or D33 Bucks

February Incentives
In February Toastmasters International runs the “Talk Up Toastmasters” membership drive. Each club participating in this drive seeks to add five (5) new members in their clubs between Feb 1 and March 31. In District 33 we added an extra incentive to help boost membership renewals as well.
85% Membership Retention by February 28, 2025
Renew 85% of your club’s membership base by

March Incentives
In District 33 we like to promote the idea of accomplishing tasks early to win awards. It is a driver to help determine the health of the District and what needs to be done to close out the year as a Distinguished or better District. With those goals in mind the District created several excellent incentive awards for clubs.
100% Membership Retention by March 31, 2025
Renew 100% of your club’s membership base by March 31, 2025, and your club will earn:
$10 in TI GC or D33 Bucks
Early Bird Distinguished Club Award
Clubs which meet the criteria for Distinguished Club or better by March 31, 2025, will be recognized at the Annual Conference, and
presented with TI Gift Certificates or District 33 Bucks in the amount of:
$25 for Distinguished
$40 for Select Distinguished
$50 for President’s Distinguished
2… 4… 6… 8… Club Membership Drive (Round 2 – Winter)
Clubs which add 2, 4, 6, or 8 members between January 1 and March 30, 2025, will earn:
Add 2 Members: $10 in TI GC or D33 Bucks
Add 4 Members: $20 in TI GC or D33 Bucks
Add 6 Members: $40 in TI GC or D33 Bucks
Add 8 Members: $80 in TI GC or D33 Bucks

June Incentives
Toastmasters International runs their “Beat The Clock” membership drive between May 1 and June 30 of each year. To further incentivize clubs to increase their membership before the Toastmaster year ends, District 33 came up with and awesome incentive award that is easy to acquire if the clubs were working the incentives program throughout the year.
100% Membership Retention + 3 new members by June 30, 2025
Renew 100% of your club’s membership base
plus 3 new members by June 30, 2025,
and your club will earn:
$30 in TI GC or D33 Bucks

Full Year Incentives
A lot of Toastmasters join multiple clubs. Let’s face it, doing this is unsustainable over the long haul. Members will get Toastmaster burn-out. Different things happen in life and when they do, every club that the member is in gets affected. So rather than relying on our friends who are Toastmasters to join our other clubs, we seek to get brand new members who were never Toastmasters before.
The District incentives this with extra funds for the club for each new member that joins. The District also incentives the effort to acquire new members for clubs that hold Open House events. Open House events are an awesome way to let non-Toastmasters know about what we offer in terms of Communication and Leadership skills.
First Time Toastmaster
Clubs that add Brand new, First Time
Toastmaster members (NOT dual, reinstated
or transfer) will earn:
$5 TI GC or D33Bucks per new member.
New charted clubs not eligible.

Open House Incentive
What: Clubs that host an Open House
anytime during the Toastmaster year can

Conclusion
They are out there. They are yours to grab. Do not let the opportunity pass you by to fulfill your club’s mission and get some sweet rewards along the way. A full year of incentives are awaiting you. Get that plan in place then work your plan. I promise, you will be very happy if you do it.
