Toastmaster Gavin Haffner is currently working on a DTM Project which involves boosting membership numbers in our District. There are 3 tiers of clubs he and his team are working with.

The first tier, called ‘Club Survival,’ involves helping clubs with 7 or less members reach at least 8, because this is the minimum number of members each club should have. Helping to drive this Tier to success are Toastmasters Greg Mauro and Kathy Weiner.

The second tier, called ‘Club Coaches,’ involves clubs that have between 8 and 12 members. These clubs are to be set up with Club Coaches, who will help them succeed in the new Toastmasters year. Driving this tier working with Mr. Haffner are Koda Delgado and Joe Palladino. Koda has already offered to coach a club in the District.

Finally, the third tier is called the ‘Charter Strength’ tier, because it involves clubs with between 13 and 19 members. As part of the project, we will be helping them add enough members to reach 20, also known as charter strength. Chris Hempleman and Justin Soenke have been diligently working on this tier.

Additionally, Gavin has been reaching out to various Division and Area Directors in District 33, to inform them of the nature of his project. Gavin is extra motivated to help these clubs because he wants to give back to Toastmasters, which is an organization that has given him everything. Mr. Jim Kearney is serving as Gavin’s mentor, and is kindly advising him on how to best execute this project. So far, everything has been going very well, because the entire team is very dedicated to the success of this effort.

If you have any questions about this ambitious project, or want to help out, please feel free to reach out to Gavin at gavin.haffner@gmail.com.
