District Leader Nominations
Learn the roles available, and the procedures for becoming a district leader candidate.
District leadership provides an opportunity to stretch and grow as both a leader and communicator. If you want to accelerate your growth and development in these areas, you should consider running for one of the elected or appointed district leadership positions.
If you are interested in serving in district leadership, please read the information below to familiarize yourself with the roles, rules and procedures.
District Leadership Roles
It takes a large team of leaders to operate a district and fulfil its mission. Typically four of these roles are elected, while the others are appointed. The election and appointment process is explained in the next section.
Process Overview
Here we provide a brief introduction to the process for becoming a district officer. For a detailed explanation of the official rules concerning the nomination process, refer to the District Administrative Bylaws, Article VII Officers and Protocol 9.0: District Campaigns and Elections.
For the description and qualifications for each position, refer to this Link: Call For Nominations.
District Realignment
As of July 1, 2026, District 33 will cease to exist, being split along current division boundaries and combined with parts of other current districts to form entirely new districts. For this reason, nominations are for these future districts. Which district for which you run, or apply for office depends largely on geography.
D33 Divisions B, C, & E –> District 202
D33 Divisions A & D –> District 203
D33 Division F –> District 206. District 206 will be created from clubs currently in District 33 (Division F), District 39 (all five divisions), and District 57 (Divisions B & E, plus Area C8).
